Dr. Ronald L. Teed, M.D.

Dr. Ronald L. Teed, M.D. is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon.  His business name is Cascade Orthopedic Surgery in Hillsboro, Oregon.

Dr. Teed is a graduate of Madison High School in Portland, Oregon.  He majored in Biology and Chemistry at the University of Oregon.  He received his Doctorate of Medicine at Oregon Health Sciences University in 1991, with an additional Anatomical Pathology Accreditation.  He interned at OHSU and took his orthopedic residency there as well.

From 1999 to the present, he has owned and operated Cascade Orthopedic Surgery (established 8/01) in Hillsboro.  His practice is orthopedic surgery, providing a wide range of orthopedic care and surgery.

From 2000 to 2004 he was a Clinical Adjunct Professor, Orthopedics and Rehabilitation at OHSU, Portland, OR.

September of 1997 thru July, 1999, he was head of the Musculoskeletal Department at USNH, in Sigonella, Sicily, Italy where his responsibilities included solo orthopedic practice covering all land, ship, and special forces military personnel and their families in the southern European, Mediterranean and Southeast Asian military theater.  

From July to September, 1997, he was at OHSU as an Adjunct Assistant Professor. He taught residents and medical students, provided patient care in trauma and general clinic, and headed the resident trauma team.  He managed the trauma ward at this Level 1 trauma center.

From July 1993 thru July 1997 he was an Orthopedic Resident at OHSU. His duties were clinic, ward and operating room duties during rotations at OHSU, Veteran’s Hospital, Shriner’s Children’s Hospital and Emanuel Hospital in Portland.

From 1991 to 1993 he was Battalion Surgeon, 1st Marine Division Twenty-Nine Palms, CA.

He was a Primary care physician for Marine Corp personnel and dependents during the Gulf Conflict.  He also was an Emergency Room Physician at Big Bear City, Yucca Valley, and Brawley, CA.

Dr. Teed has been a salesman/truck driver for Pepsi Cola, Inc. in Portland, OR. e alsoHH He also worked in his family businesses including construction & heavy machinery in Vashon and Bremerton, WA.

Among Dr. Teed’s many activities, he has been a Diplomat, American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons, and a Fellow, American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. He was the physician for Forest Grove High School football team.

Memberships include: AMA, American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, and  Oregon Medical Association, He also has written and co-written many medical articles. 

His hobbies and other interests include being a commercial-rated pilot and he enjoys water sports (skiing, boating, scuba diving), tennis and gym sports, as well as woodworking and boat building.
